Virtual reality (VR) is a rapidly growing technology with the potential to revolutionize many industries.

Businesses are increasingly using VR for training and education, marketing and sales, product and service development, and more.If you're considering using VR for your business, it's important to choose the right VR headset. There are many different VR headsets on the market, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Some factors to consider when choosing a VR headset for your business include:

  • The purpose of the VR headset: What will you be using the VR headset for? Will you be using it for training and education, marketing and sales, product and service development, or something else?
  • The budget: How much are you willing to spend on a VR headset?
  • The features: What features are important to you? Do you need a headset with a high-resolution display, a wide field of view, or integrated headphones?
  • The compatibility: Make sure the VR headset you choose is compatible with your computer or mobile device.

  • Increased employee training: VR can be used to create realistic and immersive training experiences that can help employees learn new skills faster and more effectively.
  • Improved customer engagement: VR can be used to create interactive and engaging customer experiences that can help businesses improve customer satisfaction.
  • Enhanced product design: VR can be used to create virtual prototypes of products, which can help businesses improve the design and functionality of their products.
  • New marketing opportunities: VR can be used to create interactive and immersive marketing experiences that can help businesses reach new customers and generate leads.

Here are some of the best VR headsets for businesses:

  • Oculus Quest 2: The Oculus Quest 2 is a standalone VR headset that doesn't require a PC or smartphone. It's a great option for businesses that need a portable and easy-to-use VR headset. Oculus Quest 2 VR headset

  • HTC Vive Pro 2: The HTC Vive Pro 2 is a high-end VR headset that offers a high-resolution display and a wide field of view. It's a good option for businesses that need a VR headset for demanding applications, such as training and education. Vive Pro 2 VR headset

The Oculus Rift S vr
The Oculus Rift S is Facebook's latest, final, and fully PC tethered headset. It will be the end of a long line of different models similar to the Rift.

Despite it being announced they would discontinue it on Facebook, the Rift S is still a solid headset that offers some distinct advantages over the Quest 2. This is especially true for gamers and those already invested in PC VR.

Some Quest 2 users say that Rifts qualities are sharper than what the Quest offers, and the hand tracking has a wider range because of the additional situated cameras on the side of the Rift.

In the same way the Oculus Rift S is a tethered headset for PC gamers, the Steam VR's Valve Index is a tethered headset for PC gamers.

Unlike some of the latest iterations of the Rift, the HTC Vive offers sharper, more detailed visuals, more in-depth hardware specifications, better audio quality, a wider field of vision, and an immersive, more far-reaching immersive experience all around. The price tag is significantly higher, however.

While other VR headsets still are more popular, and receive more positive praise from both consumer and business users alike, the Valve Index still considered one of the most popular VR headsets in the marketplace by both consumer and business users alike.

Varjo's powerful VR-3 headset
Varjo's powerful VR-3 headset, released at the back end of 2020, offers the highest resolution in the industry at this stage, along with the world's most powerful eye-tracking features.

Though a tethered device and not as small as Facebook's Quest 2, the VR-3 is the best tool for developers, industrial designers, and any other enterprise-user whose role demands the highest visual fidelity, which Facebook's Quest 2 does not offer.

HTC's Vive Pro VR headset.
We are pleased to offer Vive Pro to our enterprise VR users and it is our flagship business-focused VR headset that delivers room-scale precision tracking, vibrant screen colors, and exceptional sound quality.

While more expensive than the original Vive headset, the upgraded enterprise edition offers a much more satisfying immersive experience to enhance focus, collaboration, and productivity rates in virtual workplace environments.

HTC Vive Focus
Like the Pro, they have designed the Vive Focus to work specifically for Enterprise users.

Unlike the Oculus Rift, this VR headset is completely untethered and allows you to move around freely like in a virtual reality environment, making it great for business users on the go. Even though it was the headset that was more expensive than the popular and now highly successful Oculus Rift, it still could not provide the VR experience that the maybe more expensive, yet highly less excellent, "Oculus Quest 2" could provide.

If the Quest 2 had not been so disruptive in both pricing and technological design, we're confident that the Focus would have been a success (better luck next time, VIVE).

The HP Reverb G2 mr.
As one of the most highly expected VR headsets since the official release of the Oculus Quest 2 back in late Q4 2020, the HP Reverb G2 was an instant hit during its first month of use.

Say, the stunning 2160 x 2160 per eye resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, lightweight design, and reasonable price tag did not disappoint–with many claiming this headset is currently the Quest 2's strongest competitor.

The Pico Neo 2 vr.
VR headsets like the Pico Neo 2 offer an amazing and exquisite audio quality, excellent eye-tracking functionality, and are a brilliant piece of gear for VR enthusiasts and business leaders alike.

The all-in-one headset, which can use with both video and audio mobile VR systems, recently included on the TIME list for the best inventions of 2020, and was an overall tremendous success this last year.

Like most other companies, Pico is not releasing a successful headset yet. However, we feel Pico will want to push forward with impressive devices because it has a very loyal fanbase. We predict Pico will continue to flourish as long as it produces brilliant devices.

With the Oculus Quest 2 leading the mass-market by such a considerable distance, it's hard to imagine this as anything other than a one horse race–but the game is far from over!

Looking forward into 2021 and beyond to see a lot more innovation pouring into the VR headsets space as many people work around the clock to knock out Oculus from the top spot.

Along with promises from HTC Vive of a “new era” of VR headsets in 2021, we also expect giants Apple to enter the VR marketplace over the next 12 months, and XR Today will be there to report as soon as they do.
