Shiaomi has announced a pair of smart glasses called Xiaomi Smart Glasses. A company spokesman tells VRisrael2013, some details to excite consumers, unlike the recently announced Facebook and Ray-Ban story glasses, Xiaomi glasses have a monitor that can be used for augmented and integrated reality features. Shiomi says the glasses will have MicroLED lenses for extremely high image quality compared to OLED. According to Xiaomi, the glasses will allow for a more compact display, as well as a lighter screen combination. "
MicroLED is a self-emitting display technology that is widely perceived as the natural successor to OLED. However, it remains prohibitively expensive and has yet to be deployed in more than a handful of commercial products.
The display in Shiomi's glasses will be about 2.4 mm in size on 2.02 mm and the brightness will be at a peak of 2 million rivets, weighing only 15 grams, the use of such extreme brightness is so that the image in the glasses will be clear even in direct sunlight.
The glasses will be based on the Android system and the glasses will not need a regular phone connection, Xiaomi even hints that the new glasses will replace your smartphone soon.
The company notes that the glasses will not be available to the public anytime soon and may not even exist, which only reinforces my personal feeling that these are real glasses.
