A word from the writer Amit Caesar
Let's talk about the desire to stay young forever, let's talk about old age, it's a breakdown of the body and at the end the mind collapses with it. What do we do?
The truth is, you were born in the right age, you will live forever, whatever survives the next five years will live forever technology is in technological singularity, which means in short that soon computers will rule this world but it will have full control over humanity and of course That also the answer to eternal life.
In the age of singularity there are miracles and wonders, real and scientific. Already today we can, human consciousness rise to the computer, freeze people until they find a cure for them and soon small robots will fix us from the inside. All you have left is to wait four to five years.
The future according to Ray Kurzweil
The future may be a paradise of technological marvels, but in order to take advantage of everything it offers, you'll (probably) have to live for decades.
The Singularity, according to Ray Kurzweil, inventor, author, and futurist, will occur in 2045, and he plans to live long enough to witness it. He'll be 97 years old so it won't be easy. Kurzweil takes 150 pills a day, 70 to 80 different substances that "radically reprogram [his] body's biochemistry," in order to live long enough to see if his predictions come true.
Kurzweil recently discussed the three most important supplements on that list in an interview with Big Think. Look at the short video below. Coenzyme Q10, phosphatidylcholine, and vitamin D are the substances in question.
Supplements for health can be tricky. While many have interesting and credible scientific studies that suggest they can help us live longer and healthier lives, it can take years and millions of dollars to validate such findings to where the medical community agrees on their benefits.
Coenzyme Q10, a potent antioxidant, and Phosphatidylcholine, a substance found in cell membranes that we lose as we age, are both extremely beneficial to the body and play critical roles in cell chemistry. These substances, like so many other health supplements, can found in a variety of foods or produced in the body because of a healthy diet.
However, as Kurzweil explains in his book Transcend, many of us may not be getting enough to improve our health. By the way, if you agree with Kurzweil's assessment, he'll sell you these supplements.
I hotly debated dietary intake and supplementation topics that can lead to heated arguments. This is clear with vitamin D.
It's become one of the most popular health supplements in the last decade, linked to a lower risk of cancer and heart disease. According to some nutritionists, more than a billion people are deficient in vitamin D. Others argue those nutritionists are exaggerating their estimates of how much vitamin D the body requires. With their VITAL study, the US government will spend millions of dollars and years of research to put an end to the debate once and for all. Coming to completed conclusions for all 70 to 80 substances that Kurzweil takes will most likely take just as much work, if not more.
In the meantime, what should you do? Personally, I'm not sure. There are years when I am adamant about daily vitamin regimens, and then there are years when I take nothing at all. It's difficult to choose which supplements to take when the majority supposed to work by giving you negative results (no cancer, no heart attacks, etc.)
Only after decades of taking the pills! It's much easier for me to stick to healthy lifestyle habits (eat better, exercise more, and stress less) than it is to worry about health supplements. But, you know, I'll only be 64 in 2045, so my chances of making it that far are already pretty good.
Supplement as needed for those of you who have more at stake. If they don't work, most of these pills will only hurt your wallet. If they work, then hopefully we'll all be here to see what the future has in store. Whether it's the Singularity or just better music, I'm all in.
