Although the year has not been easy, but in virtual reality it is the best year, we rounded up every new title coming to all the headsets this year last week. But because they had already debuted on other platforms, we left out a lot of new Meta Quest 2 games that were coming in 2021 - 2022.

Each title that we know for a fact is on the way later this year in our list below. We've also removed games that appear to be likely for Quest, but still not fully confirmed. We also only count titles that are going to fully released here on the Oculus Store, not Side Quest.

The new 2021 Meta Quest Games

Lives of Area Man virtual reality
The Area Man Lives of Numinous Games resurrects the ill-fated Untethered series from Google Daydream to headsets that people actually use and aims to complete the unfinished story of the developer. High interactivity in the environment has always intrigued us, and we can't wait to see the title revamped.

The latest VR movie from Baobab Studios is soon due for full release on Oculus Quest. Starring Daisy Ridley, Glenn Close and Kate Winslet, Baba Yaga tells the story of an enchanted forest, a mysterious witch and two sisters' quest to save their mother. There are some bright interactive elements throughout.

The Reaper man and Carly virtual reality
Odd Raven's intriguing two-player co-op platformer will release on Quest this year by Resolution Games. On a traditional screen, one player controls a character while another goes into VR to help them navigate obstacles and overcome puzzles. We will be very interested to see how the team works on the standalone platform to get the multiplayer support.

The 2 Climb virtual reality
A long-overdue sequel to one of the early successes of the Oculus Rift. The climb had already taken us to incredible heights and convinced us we were really scaling cliffs. We're hoping the sequel is a more ambitious take on that concept, now that we know its VR-driven mechanics work.

Cosmo phobia virtual reality
Right around the corner is the long-awaited follow-up to an early VR horror hit, Dreadhalls. Cosmo phobia takes the original's randomized gameplay and teleports it millions of miles away from Earth onto a dark, deserted spaceship. If we can capture even half the tension of the Dreadhalls, it'll be a must.

Demeo virtual reality
Resolution Games for its latest title, trading in frenzied cooking and fishing for a multiplayer tabletop RPG, steps away from its usual party game affair. They build demo on the desire, with cross-play support between the VR and a standard PC version, to bring those long game nights spent huddled around a kitchen table online.

VR Green Hell virtual reality
This survival game gets a full port for VR. You'll forced to scavenge for supplies, craft weapons and articles after you crash land in the rainforest and trace your steps back to exactly how you got here. For weapons like the bow and arrow, this promises to be a proper port with VR native mechanics.

Holofit Holofit virtual reality
Holofit, a new subscription-based VR fitness platform, gives you virtual environments through pairing with compatible devices to run, row or cycle through. Developer Holodia hopes this will help keep people motivated to workout during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic by tracking your stats as you go.

ILYSIA virtual reality
In the way some hoped they might have by now, VR MMOs have not quite taken hold, but Ilyisa is already showing promising signs with plenty of gameplay footage in the wild. Promising hundreds of hours of friendship quests and various classes.

The Jurassic World: Part 2 Aftermath virtual reality
Jurassic World: Aftermath released just a few weeks ago and proved to be an enjoyable experience that was short and simplistic. Hopefully, the second part, arriving sometime this year, will bring the game full circle.

The Mare virtual reality
A long time has come for this gorgeous ICO-like adventure, but its developer says it should finally be inside with us soon. It remains to see exactly how we'll handle the flying mechanics and if the Quest can deliver the stunning artistic direction of the trailer.

Project 4 at Stress Level Zero virtual reality
This year, Boneworks developer Stress Level Zero recently teased new data on upcoming projects, but we know of only one so far, a new game set in the Boneworks universe. It's really exciting to think about combining that physics powerhouse with Quest, but we're going to have to wait and see how it shapes up.

Universe Rhythm: Ionia virtual reality
A musical adventure that sees you discover a fantastic another world full of amazing creatures, all linked by rhythm. One thing we're looking forward to most this year is exploring this truly unique world.

Sniper VR Elite virtual reality
First announced a few years back, with its scope and ambition, the most recent trailer for Sniper Elite VR blew us away. We hope this provides a proper VR fix for WW2-era combat after the slight disappointment of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond.

Star Wars: Tales From The Edge Of The Galaxy Part 2 virtual reality
This Quest only ended on an abrupt note, but they will deliver more in 2021 by developer ILMxLAB. On the other side of the galaxy, we don't know what more tales await us, but hopefully they're just as polished as the first half, and hopefully a touch more engaging, too.

Jams in Traffic virtual reality
At its core, the core idea of Traffic Jams to control the flow of traffic using hand gestures from VR seems like a fantastic idea. And we're just hoping to see a little more challenge in later stages from what we've played that could certainly develop into the frantic fun developer Little Chicken envisioned.

Ven: Adventure VR virtual reality
Ven's next destination, having touched down at Rift last year, is Oculus Quest. We thought this VR platformer was fun and generous, but struggled with difficulty and did not find too many ways to use VR uniquely in reality. Still, on third-person platformers, Quest is short, and this fits the bill.

Sigmar's Warhammer Age- Tempest fall into virtual reality
Carbon Studios, best known for the series The Wizards, bring its gesture-based combat to the universe of Warhammer's Age of Sigmar. Do battle with supernatural forces, summon weapons, and wave a hand to cast spells. We hope it's a more polished experience than the last game of Warhammer VR.

The Wizards: Times of the Dark virtual reality
The hugely enjoyable return last year to the world of The Wizards will soon land on Oculus Quest. With a full single-player campaign, Dark Times was a major enhancement to the series. The port seems to shape up very well on Quest, as you can see in our gameplay above.

Wraith: Afterlife-The Oblivion virtual reality
With its first VR game set in the World of Darkness universe, Fast Travel Games is trying its hand at VR horror. Use supernatural powers to understand a mystery and embody a wraith and stalk the halls of a creepy mansion. Oh, and make sure you avoid a lot more beastly beasts coming out to get you. The studio promises the scariest VR game of all time. Let's hope they deliver.

The Yūki virtual reality
Pixel Ripped developer Arvore brings future headsets to one of its past VR arcade projects. Yuki is a kind of VR bullet hell game in which players pick up a figure of action and then bring life to the playtime. One for sure for classic arcade fans.

Yupitergarda virtual reality
Early next year, this unusual VR game swings into Quest, casting players as a Russian cosmonaut who ventures through a spaceship to throw themselves down corridors and over obstacles using two grappling hooks (or plungers). For the Quest release, a new time they will add trial mode.
