Samsung Brings NFT Trading to the Screen with New TV Models

In January 2022, Samsung Electronics announced three new TV models that will support NFT trading on the screen. The models are the QN900B Neo QLED 8K TV, the QN800B Neo QLED 8K TV, and the QN700B Neo QLED 8K TV.

The new TVs will allow users to browse, buy, sell, and trade NFTs directly from their TV screens. Samsung has partnered with Nifty Gateway to provide the NFT marketplace for the TVs.

To use the NFT trading feature, users will need to create a Nifty Gateway account. Once they have an account, they can connect it to their Samsung TV. Once the account is connected, users can browse the Nifty Gateway marketplace and buy, sell, or trade NFTs.

When a user buys an NFT, it will be stored on the TV's internal storage. Users can then display their NFTs on the TV screen or use the TV to transfer them to another wallet.

Samsung's new NFT trading feature is a significant development for the NFT market. It makes it easier for people to buy, sell, and trade NFTs, and it could help to bring NFTs to a wider audience.

Updates from the last few months:

  • In March 2022, Samsung announced that it would be expanding its NFT trading feature to more TV models. The new models that will support NFT trading include the QN95B Neo QLED 8K TV, the QN90B Neo QLED 8K TV, the QN85B Neo QLED 8K TV, the QN80B Neo QLED 8K TV, the QN75B Neo QLED 8K TV, and the QN70B Neo QLED 8K TV.
  • In June 2022, Samsung announced that it would be partnering with other NFT marketplaces in addition to Nifty Gateway. The new NFT marketplaces that will be supported by Samsung TVs include OpenSea, Rarible, and SuperRare.
  • In September 2022, Samsung announced that it would be launching its own NFT marketplace. The new NFT marketplace will be called the Samsung NFT Hub. The Samsung NFT Hub will allow users to browse, buy, sell, and trade NFTs directly from their Samsung TV screens.

These updates suggest that Samsung is committed to making its TVs the go-to platform for NFT trading. By expanding the number of TV models that support NFT trading, partnering with more NFT marketplaces, and launching its own NFT marketplace, Samsung is making it easier for people to buy, sell, and trade NFTs.
