I don't hear audio in some games and apps on Rift S.

If you do not hear audio in VR during a specific game or application in S, this may be due to a known problem in your computer's Windows operating system. Windows Windows build 1903 and insider builds may block audio in certain Rift S experiences. Windows builds 1809 and prior are unaffected.

Please always update Windows to the latest version.

The fault:

My antivirus software blocks me from downloading and installing content for Oculus Rift S or Rift.

If the antivirus software blocks you from downloading and installing content for the Oculus Rift S or Rift, try the following troubleshooting tips:

In your antivirus software settings, add Oculus as a trusted program.

Check that your antivirus software is up to date.

Turn off the antivirus software when downloading and installing the content.

The fault:

My virtual reality glasses OCULUS S do not recognize my video card.

the solution:

If your Oculus Rift S or Rift does not recognize the video card, try these troubleshooting tips:

Make sure the graphics card is installed:

Open the control panel on the computer.

Click Programs and Features and see if NVIDIA or AMD graphic drivers are installed.

If you do not see drivers installed on your video card, download and install them on the manufacturer's website.

If you are not sure how to check your computer hardware, we recommend contacting your computer technician for help.

SLI and other GPU configurations are not currently supported for Oculus Rift S.

I'm having trouble updating Oculus Rift S controller software.

the solution:

If you encounter problems and receive an error updating your Rift S controller software, try the following troubleshooting tips:

Windows updates: Check if your computer has a recent Windows update and if you are updating, restart your computer.

Make sure you use a portable power adapter.

Check if your drivers are up to date

Make sure you connect your USB cable to the DisplayPort or miniPort cable.

Make sure your displayPort or miniPort cable is securely connected to their port.

Disconnect the virtual reality glasses cable and reconnect it to your virtual reality glasses. You can access the cable by removing the interior plastic.

If the problem persists contact Oculus Support directly.

How do I restart the Oculus app on my computer?

the solution:

If you experience problems running the program from the PC Oculus app, you may need to restart it. To restart the Oculus application on your computer:

Select settings from the right side of the app.

Select Beta from the top of the app.

Click Restart Oculus to restart the application.
