Virtual reality headsets have allowed players to achieve true immersion in video games, which is something that anime fans are looking for in their media as well. While virtual reality is still a relatively new technology, there are currently several games that are clearly designed with anime fans in mind.

1. Tokyo Chronos Virtual Reality
Tokyo Chronos is one game that anime fans will undoubtedly enjoy. This is essentially a virtual reality version of a visual novel, a choose-your-own-adventure with multiple endings.

This game, developed by My Dearest Inc, has a “Very Positive” Steam rating and 4-and-a-half stars in the Oculus app store. Tokyo Chronos is a fully immersive experience that immerses players in the world of anime and allows them to interact with the characters in meaningful ways.

Fans Can Dance And Sing With Hid vocal Music Star Hatsune Miku In Virtual Reality

Hatsune Miku has taken over the world. She is a vocal character who portrayed as a 16-year-old anime girl with a bright and fun appearance that appeals to anime fans and young Japanese music fans alike. She is, in a nutshell, a mascot for a software program that sings in its own distinctive style. Hatsune Miku has performed many live concerts despite being a completely fictional animated character.

Hatsune Miku's fans can now sing and dance along with her in this game, selecting their favorite songs and joining her on stage.

2. Spice & Wolf Virtual Reality
Spice & Wolf, a beautifully animated adaptation of the existing Spice & Wolf light novels, is another game that puts players right in the middle of an anime.

This is more of an immersive anime than an anime-inspired game, as Spicy Tails created it. Those hoping to interact with the characters will disappoint, but those who simply want to be thrown into the middle of an anime will find this to be ideal.

3. VR Blade & Sorcery
Blade & Sorcery is essentially a live-action adaptation of a Shonen action-adventure manga.
Despite not being directly based on any anime, Blade & Sorcery is one of the best VR representations of shining - style action. Players fight their way through castles, hurling fireballs and fistfuls of lightning while casting magical spells, or brawling with swords, axes, and other melee weapons.

Blade & Sorcery has a more western medieval fantasy aesthetic than a traditional Japanese feel to it. However, many popular anime series, such as Goblin Slayer, Berserk, and Fairy Tail, have a similar tone. The game is currently available to play on Steam, the Oculus Rift, and Vive Port, even though it is still in Early Access.

4. VR version of Titan Assault
For Oculus Quest 2, Attack On Titan VR on Side quest recreates the anime's battles.

Attack on Titan is one of the most popular—and frightening—anime series in recent memory. Fans can now battle the Titans and fly through the sky like their favorite characters. And, best of all, the fantastic anime game that enables this is completely free!

It's currently only available on Side quest, a platform that gives players early access to still-developing games. Attack on Titan VR currently has very low-quality graphics as a free game that isn't finished. However, after playing a free licensed attack on Titan game, the graphics are nothing to be ashamed of.

5. Pokemon Virtual Reality
Pokemon VR on Side quest allows you to experience the magical world of Pokemon up close and personal.

Pokemon VR is another game on a Side quest that delivers exactly what the title promises. The Pokemon franchise has always straddled the line between anime and video games. Players can now literally travel around the World of Pokemon, visiting places like Pallet Town and Viridian City.

The graphics are good, allowing players to capture their favorite Pokemon and battle other trainers. They're even able to trade Pokemon with each other.

6. VR Sairento
Sairento VR: Untethered allows you to play as a cyberpunk ninja with a massive arsenal of weapons.

What could be cooler than a game about cyber-ninjas battling it out in a dystopian Tokyo of the future? Why not try playing that game in virtual reality?

Players infiltrate each level with ancient and modern weapons, decapitating their enemies with ka tana strikes and bursts of automatic gunfire. The game is compatible with Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest, making it one of the most accessible games regardless of platform.

7. VR Outlaws
Outlaws are people who break the law. In the feudal past, VR is a martial arts action-adventure brawler.

Outlaws VR is still in early access at the moment. It's a cross between a martial arts brawler and a more traditional action-adventure game, allowing players to punch out enemies while exploring their surroundings.

Although the game set in medieval China, the weapons, costumes, and moves of the enemies will be familiar to anime fans who have watched feudal Japan series. Outlaws VR is currently available on Steam for the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Valve Index, and developed by HXVR Studio.

8. Beat Saber Virtual Reality
2 Katanas at the same time while listening to Japanese music
Beat Saber is one of the most popular virtual reality games available. To the beat of music, players switch swords and try to hit targets with their blades. The targets timed to the music and just struck at the correct angle with the sword.

There are several downloadable soundtracks available besides the music included with the game. Tokyo Machine, a Japanese electronic dance music group, created some music. Beat Saber will appeal to anyone who enjoys rocking out while immersed in a wakizashi-slashing power fantasy, and pretty much everyone else who gets their hands on it.
